Farmville, VA – Bluefield State University men's and women's cross country opened the 2025 season at the Lancer Home Open in Farmville, Virginia on Saturday.

On the men's side, Ean Nance paced the Big Blue finishing 29^th overall with a time of 37:24.7. Sekou Coulibaly (37:44.1) and Jeremiah Wingfield (38:04.6) finishing 30^th and 31^st with Luke Roberts finishing 35^th (40.58.6).

In the women's race, the Big Blue placed third overall with senior Kellie Williams leading the charge with a 23^rd place finish with a time if 23:40.7 followed by Miasia Seymour in 25^th with a time of 24:00.0 and Genesis Lee with a time of 24:50.5 (26^th). Abrielle King and Taleyah Palmer rounded out the Big Blue with times of 31:14.3 and 36:03.4.
