Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University men's basketball fell to Virginia State 65-46. The Big Blue move to 11-13 overall and 9-4 in CIAA play.
The Big Blue faced an uphill battle as the Trojan's defense limited the Big Blue to just 22 points in the first half. Trailing 34-22 at the half, the Big Blue looked to rally in the second but couldn't bridge the gap against the Trojans.
Myles Pierre led the scoring for the Big Blue with a game-high 22 points with Ellija Preddy contributing seven points and two assists. Anthony Davenport led the team on the glass with seven rebounds to go along with four points while Anthony Latty anchored the interior with four rebounds and two blocks.
