Baltimore, MD – Bluefield State University men's basketball saw their tournament run come to an end on Saturday, falling to Fayetteville State University in the CIAA Championship at the CFG Bank Arena. The Big Blue finish their season with a 16-15 record after winning three games in four days to reach the final.
The Big Blue put together a dominate first half, utilizing effective shooting from the floor to take the 40-33 lead into the half. However, the Broncos rallied in the second half, outscoring the Big Blue 38-28, to take the 71-68 victory over the Big Blue.
Ellija Preddy delivered a standout performance, leading the Big Blue with 20 points and nine rebounds. Anthony Latty recorded a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks. Myles Pierre finished with 13 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
