Winston-Salem, NC – Bluefield State University softball dominated on the road, taking both games against Carolina University, 11-1 and 12-10.
Game One – 8-0 W
The Big Blue jumped out to an early lead, putting up two runs in the first and two in the second. The Big Blue added two in the fourth and sealed the win with a three-run six-inning. Jackie Sandy led the Big Blue, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Paige Whittington and Yonah Rogers each collected doubles.
Jackie Sandy earned the win in the circle, allowing six hits and one walk while striking out four.
Game Two – 12-10 W
After a back-and-forth start, the Big Blue exploded for five runs in the fourth, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Corona. Despite a late push from the Bruins, the Big Blue added two critical runs in the seventh to maintain the lead. Whittington collected five stolen bases, three RBIs, two hits, two runs, and one walk. Jackie Sandy collected three hits with Corona adding two hits and two RBIs.
Yonah Rogers collected the win, throwing 3.2 innings allowing nine hits, three runs whiles triking out one.
