Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University football has announced the schedule for the 2026 season, featuring four home matchups at Mitchell Stadium against Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) opponents: Livingstone, Johnson C. Smith, Fayetteville State, and Elizabeth City State.
The season kicks off with two non-conference road games. Bluefield State opens the year on Thursday, August 27th at Tusculum University in Greeneville, TN, followed by a trip to Athens, WV to face Concord University in the Battle of the Blue Ridge on September 5th.
The Big Blue will host Livingstone College in their home opener on September 12th. Following the opener, the Big Blue will return to the road for back-to-back contests against Virginia Union on September 19th and Lincoln (PA) on September 26th.
The Big Blue will be back at home on October 3rd for Homecoming against Johnson C. Smith. After a road trip to Winston-Salem State on October 17th, the Big Blue will host Fayetteville State for a "Pink Out" game.
The final stretch of the regular season features a Halloween road game at Shaw on October 31st and will conclude at home for Senior Day on November 7th against Elizabeth City State.
