Bluefield, WV – Paige Whittington and Kyla Jones earned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) honors for week eight.
Paige Whittington was named Offensive Player of the week after totaling 10 hits, including three doubles, 10 runs, and five RBIs through the four-game week. On the bases, Whittington collected six stolen bases and is currently tied for 6th in stolen bases across all Division II.
Kyla Jones earned Defensive Player of the Week after a strong performance at first for the Big Blue. Jones recorded 18 putouts on 20 total chances to help the Big Blue secure crucial outs and stabilize the infield.
