Jeff Gerzog joined the BSU Football Staff in May 2022 to lead the Linebackers. He also led the football program’s Strength and Conditioning during the fall 2022 season, before his promotion to Recruiting Coordinator in January 2023. During the Fall 2022 season Gerzog lead BSU’s Inside and Outside Linebackers, coaching standout True-Freshman OLB Brett Brantley (1st Team All-HBCU Underclassman).

Prior to his current stent at BSU, Gerzog joined the staff at East Carolina University as a volunteer assistant on defense where he assisted ECU in reaching its first Bowl Game in 6 years (2021 Military Bowl).

Prior to working at ECU, Gerzog started his coaching career where he served at UNC Pembroke as a Defensive Quality Control Coach working with the Outside Linebackers for 2 seasons. Gerzog also assisted UNCP in its transition into the MEC conference during the 2020-21 Spring COVID Season.

Originally a native of Fayetteville, NC, Gerzog graduated from East Carolina University (BS-Science, Health Fitness Specialist). Married to Kayla Gerzog (July 2022).
