Zach Edmunds was named Wide Receivers & Tight Ends Coach at Bluefield State University in February 2023.
Before arriving in Bluefield, Edmunds served as the Running Backs & Tight Ends coach at South Carolina State for both the 2021 and 2022 seasons under head coach Buddy Pough, culminating the 2021 season with both a MEAC and Celebration Bowl Championship over Jackson State and head coach Deion Sanders. While at South Carolina State, Coach Edmunds also coached all-conference players Kendrell Flowers (RB), Yancey Washington (TE), and Khalil Ellis (TE).
He spent the previous three seasons in the same role at his Alma Mater Newberry College in Newberry, SC. While at Newberry Coach Edmunds coached and recruited multiple All-Conference & All-American players including, Marion Anderson (RB) as well as Tommy Washington (TE). During the 2021 spring season in Newberry, the Wolves RBs led the conference in rushing per game at 263.5 yds/g, yards per carry at 5.7 yds, and rushing touchdowns with 16 on the shortened season.
As a player, Edmunds was a two-year starter for the Wolves, earning All-South Atlantic Conference honors as a senior in 2015. He caught 25 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns in scarlet and gray, playing in 32 games after transferring from Charleston Southern.
