Bluefield State University

Ashley Rasnake joined Bluefield State University Athletics in August 2022 as the Sports Information Director and was elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications in August 2024. In her current role, Rasnake oversees all aspects of athletic communications and serves as the primary contact for all 21 Big Blue varsity programs.

Before returning to her alma mater, Rasnake served as the Sports Information Director at Salem University, where she managed communications for 12 athletic programs. Her responsibilities included statistical reporting, maintaining the athletic website, and serving as the NCAA communications liaison.

Rasnake holds an MBA in Sports and Recreational Management from Salem University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, with an emphasis in Sports Management and Leadership, from Bluefield State College. As a student-athlete at Bluefield State, she was a four-year softball team captain and president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
