Box Score Beckley, W.Va.—The Bluefield State Women's Basketball team hosted West Virginia University Institute of Technology this afternoon at the Beckley Raleigh Convention Center in Beckley, W.Va. The Lady Blues lost to the Golden Bears 63-93.

The Lady Blues started out a little slow with only 11 points in the first quarter and were down by 11 points at the half, 25-36. In the second half, the Golden Bears put their foot on the gas pedal and didn't stop until the game was over. The Golden Bears out-scored the Lady Blues by 19 points.
The Lady Blues increased their points in every quarter and didn't give up or quit, they continued to play even though the deficit was too much for them to overcome.
Junior Tierra Richberg (pictured) had a great game with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. She also had 4 steals and 3 assists. Senior Janae Williams had 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She also had 1 steal and 1 block.
Freshman Lyndsay Hatfield had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Junior Tanasia Blake grabbed 7 rebounds, 7 points, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and 1 assist. Sophomore Chaunte McDowell had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Freshman Jesslyn Fullerton had 7 points, 1 assist, and 1 rebound.
The Lady Blues next game is against St. Augustine's University on Nov. 24th at 5:30 p.m. in Raleigh, NC.
