Box Score 2 Raleigh, NC- Bluefield State played its second double header against St. Augustine's today with a lot better result. The Big Blues showed their offensive strengths with 10-5 & 4-0 wins over the Falcons.
Tanner Muovich was on the mound for the Big Blues and picked up his 2nd win of the season. He went 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits but ended the day with 2 strikeouts. Bo Williams came on in relief for 2 innings of work and gave up 1 run on 1 hit.
The offense for BSC was led by Boston New and Tyler Frazier. New had 2 RBIs and scored 3 times during the game. Frazier was just as productive, scoring twice and tallying his own RBI. Their success on offense led the Blues to the 10-5 win in the first game of the day.
The second game also saw some offense from the Big Blues as they were able to win 4-0. Cody Underwood was a major part of the team's success as he scored twice and also drove in 1 of the 4 runs.
But Cole Bloker's pitching really sealed the victory for the Blues. Blocker pitched a full game shutout, going all 5 innings only allowing 5 hits, walking just 2 batters and striking out 2 batters. Once Blocker was given the lead early in the game he never looked back, completing a full game shut out of the Falcons.
