Bluefield, VA- The ladies went "on the road" today against the cross town rival Bluefield College. When these two teams met in the fall the outcome was not a good but today the ladies have really showed their improvement over the course of this season beating the Rams 6-3.
The Hernandez sisters started things off with a solid performance in their doubles match, clinching a 2-1 lead heading into the singles matches. Laura Hernandez and Marie Hernandez dominated finishing the match by a score of 8-2.
On the singles side, Marta Briales showed off her skills by beating her opponent in straight sets, 6-3 & 6-1. This match was payback from the fall when Briales lost to the same girl. Over all it was a very good outing for the ladies as they have shown their improvement on the court winning 6-3.
The ladies close out their season on Friday, April 15, 2016 against Shaw. Come support the Big Blues as they try and send their seniors off with a victory!
