Big Blues Hold off Simmons College for Win

Box Score

Louisville, KY- The Big Blues pick up win number 3 on the season with a 69-61 victory over Simmons College of Kentucky. Simmons College recently restarted their college basketball programs last year after cutting the College's Athletic Department in 2011.

Joshua Windham once again shinned for the Big Blues with another massive game, getting 21 points and 10 rebounds for his 5th double-double of the season. Windham hit 5 threes in his performance against the Falcons of Simmons College. He also was a factor on the defensive side of the ball, getting 2 blocks and a steal in the game.

Seniors James Day and Marcus Richardson were also in the thick of the teams offense, both scoring double digits. Richardson ended the day with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Day was equally effecient, scoring 10 points and grabbing 7 boards.

This is the Big Blues 3rd win of the season and 2nd in 4 games. BSC is trending upward and the team is really figuring things out on both sides of the ball. They will look to continue their recent momentum against a winless Ohio Valley team, who is currently 0-14. Tip will be at 7:00 pm and live video will be provided for those who cannot make it!
