Box Score 2 Bluefield, VA- Softball had their first installment of the Battle of Bluefield's against Bluefield College. This was Coach Dillion's 1st contest against Bluefield College since being the assistant coach last season at Bluefield College. Bluefield College really took it to the Big Blues, winning 23-0 and 18-2 both games in 5 innings.
Emily Day took to the circle in game 1. Day started off strong, getting a strike out to help get out of the inning. But after Bluefield College really flexed their muscles and took it to Bluefield State.
Game 2 saw Casey Spencer get her 1st RBI of her college career, scoring Lauryn Hatfield after Hatfield got a double earlier in the inning. Emily Day's fielder's choice in the 3rd inning scored Shonte Cargill for Bluefield State's only 2 runs on the afternoon.
