Tigers Have Perfect Game Against the Big Blues

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Salem, WV- The Big Blues went up the road to Salem International and were held scoreless in the double header versus the Tigers. BSC lost 8-0 and 11-0 and were no hit for the 4th time this season in Game 1.

Like the previous no hitters, the Big Blues ran into some excellent pitching. The difference this time was that Kayla Lynch of the Tigers pitched a perfect game, not allowing a single base runner through 6 innings. Lynch only face 18 batters, the absolute minimum for 6 innings of work. Lynch and the Tigers got a little revenge on the Big Blues after being no hit last season by now Assistant Coach Rosanne De Vries.

In Game 2 BSC continued to struggle against the Tigers pitching. Tyann Thomas broke up the no hit bid with 2 outs in the final inning with a single to center field. Ashley Rasnake and Casey Spencer were able to reach base in the game but were unable to advance due to the lack of offense by the Big Blues.

BSC now travels to Kentucky to take on Kentucky State for the 2nd double header this season. Check back for updates to scores for these games.
