The Battle of the Bluefields took place September 20^th 2019 at Lotito Park. Bluefield State Men's Cross-Country team came away with the victory with Sophomore Luke Busse leading the way for the men with a time of 18:27.8. Michael Franklin followed close behind coming in 3^rd place with a total time of 19:11.5. Brandon Anyanwu, Bryan Jenkins, Beniminano Zappia, and Greg Purnell all placed in the top 10 to help secure the victory for the Big Blues. The Women's Cross-Country team put up a valiant effort coming away with 2^nd place. Paula Saez came in 4^th place with a time of 22:59.5 and Laura Arias came in 5^th place with a time of 23:38.3. The next Cross-Country meet will take place at the Livingstone Classic on Friday, October 11^th.
