Brandon Anyanwu Playing Pro Ball In Armenia

YEREVAN, Armenia - Class of 2021 graduate Brandon Anyanwu is playing professional basketball and already making headlines for his team. Brandon plays for Armenian

International Academy in Yerevan, Armenia. He is one of three Americans on the nine-player team.

The team competes in the VBET League-A. It is 2-2 on the season.

Anyanwu, a 6'4" guard, is averaging 30 points per game and 11.8 rebounds.

At Bluefield State, Anyanwu averaged 14.1 points per game and 3.5 rebounds his senior year. He was also president of the Emerging Leaders Institute. He graduated with a degree in political science. He is a native of Englewood, California.

Armenia is a small country of three million people located in the Caucasus Mountains.  It is wedged between Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran to the south. Yerevan is its capital.
