Softball Falls In Doubleheader Against Barton College

 WILSON, North Carolina - April Fool's Day proved to be no joke for the women's softball team as they dropped another tough doubleheader, this time to Barton College, 10-2 and 8-0, at Wilson, NC.

Ashlee Brassart started for the Big Blue. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings. They scored five more in the fourth, earning a short-inning win.

Kennedy James drove in a run for Bluefield State.

Madison Thompson started for the Big Blue in Game 2, but had no better luck. The Bulldog's Shelby Talley threw a two-hit shutout in another short-inning win.

The Big Blue dropped to 0-12 on the season.

The Big Blue hosts the Lees-McRae Bobcats in a home doubleheader Saturday, April 3. First game starts at 1 P.M.
