WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - The Bluefield State men's tennis team dropped a tough match to Wake Forest University Thursday evening at Wake Forest Tennis Center, 6-1.
Frederik Bau-Madsen and Juan De Freitas dropped the first doubles match on court one, 6-2.
Teddy Razafindratsima and
Tom Schmieta won in their doubles match against Ben Draper and Juan Lopez de Azona, (7-4) to tie it up, 1-1.
Luke Busse and
Fabian Avail-Torres clinched the doubles win for the Big Blue on court three, 6-1.
Fernando Arguello fell in the number six spot to start singles for the Big Blue, (0-6, 1-6).
Fabian Avail-Torres put the Big Blue down 0-2 by falling in the number five spot against Matthew Thomson, (0-6, 0-6).
Tom Schmieta fought a tough battle but wasn't able to clinch a win in the number three spot against Siddhant Banthia, (4-6, 2-6). Wake Forest secured their win over the Big Blue with Melios Efstathiou defeating
Frederik Bau-Madsen in the number one spot, (3-6, 3-6).
