CHARLESTON, West Virginia - The Big Blue women fell to the University of Charleston at Schoenbaum tennis courts, 6-1.
The Golden Eagles swept the Big Blue in doubles play. Shreya Chakrabarly and Juliana Jimenez dropped to Prinkle Singh and Haarini Balakrishnan, (6-1).
The Golden Eagles Alexiann Drouin and Meggan William defeated Paula Saez and Victoria Cabral on court 3, (6-2). Ghita Courdi and Virginia Zanotti fell on court 2 in a hard-fought match, (6-4)
In singles play, Ghita Courdi defeated Meggan William in the number five spot, (6-0, 2-6. 10-8) to get the only point for the Big Blue. Juliana Jimenez fought hard in the number three spot to grab another point for the Big Blue but fell to Haarini Balakrishnan, (7-5), (4-6), (8-10).
Shreya Chakrabarly dropped the number one spot (6-3), (6-2) against Prinkle Singh. Virginia Zanotti fell in the number two sport (6-2), (6-1) against Alexiann Drouin.
