Baseball Drops Monday Afternoon Matchup to Lenoir-Rhyne

Bluefield -- The Bluefield State baseball team fell to Lenoir-Rhyne Monday afternoon at Bowen Field, 9-0.
In the top of the first, the Bears got on the board first after an RBI single that scored Cole Laskowski.
In the top half of the fourth, the Bears added three more runs to their lead after an RBI triple by Wade Cuda. A two-run home run by David Bell, 4-0.
The Bears scored another two runs in the top of the seventh on an RBI double by Nick Clarno and an RBI ground out that scored Drew Yniesta. 
In the top of the ninth, the Bears would add three more runs to the board on an RBI double by Clarno. An RBI single by Luis Atiles and a sac fly by Jackson Brown, 9-0.
The Big Blue offense was limited to only four hits on the day.

The Big blue will host North Greeneville Wednesday, April 6 in a single nine-inning game. The first pitch is set to be thrown at 1:30 pm.
