Richmond, VA – Bluefield State University Cross Country men place fourth and women place second at the VUU Panther Invitational.
On their second trip to Joseph Bryan Park in Richmond, Men's Cross Country had a strong showing, placing 4th out 6 teams all which are CIAA Members. Leading the way for the men was Luke Sigman with a time of 32:32 with his Brother Austin Sigman immediately finishing behind him with a time of 32:57. Running a season's best of 35:50 Luke Roberts was our third finisher for Big Blue. Rounding out the final two spots for the team were Trevor Nefe and Bryant Welch with times of 37:04 and 37:43 respectively.
Kellie Williams leads the Women's team to their highest finish of the season with a second place for the competition. Williams' ran a season's best of 21:49 to take 5th place overall. Freshmen Genesis Lee followed up Williams with a personal and season's best time of 23:03 with Sophomore Khriaslyn Kegler continuing the pattern shown by her teammates running PR of 23:24. Ja'delle Major, placing 17th, was also able to register a new PR of 27:07 and completing the team was Stephanie Manu with a time of 31:14.
