Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University Volleyball took down Ferrum University for their sixth straight victory in a non-conference match up, 3-0, to improve to 8-12 on the year.
Jannice Lynch led the Big Blue offense with 11 kills and a .304 hitting percentage with Imani Stokes adding nine kills (.333). Overall, the Big Blue hit with .301 efficiency, totaling 39 kills. Fesili Masaniai and BriShaela McHaney combined for 11 kills with Setter Gabby Hale coming away with 27 assists.
Defensively, the Big Blue totaled 28 digs with Sydney Hoosier having nine. The Big Blue defense held Ferrum's attack to just 25 kills and forcing 19 errors. Callesta Styles led the Big Blue with 4 blocks, McHaney and Stokes with two each, and Lynch, Hale and Masaniai adding one apiece.
The Big Blue collected 11 service aces with Lynch having six, Soniya Garder with two and Hoosier, Stokes, and Hale with one each.
