Bluefield, WV - Bluefield State University volleyball secured a 3-1 victory against Bowie State. The Big Blue remain undefeated in conference play and 9-12 on the year.
The Big Blue started strong, winning the first two sets 25-23 and 25-22. Bowie State fought back in the third set, edging out a 26-24 win, but the Big Blue bounced back in the fourth set, dominating 25-15 to close out the match.
Jannice Lynch led the way for the Big Blue with 16 kills and six service aces, earning an impressive 22.5 points. Lynch currently sits first across all division II schools in service aces. Imani Stokes contributed eight kills and three blocks, while BriShaela McHaney added eight kills of her own. Setter Gabby Hale directed the offense, racking up 37 assists.
