Bowie, MD – Bluefield State University volleyball finished 2-1 at CIAA roundup hosted by Bowie State University. The Big Blue improves to 11-13 overall and 8-2 in CIAA play. 
The Big Blue opened with a dominant 3-1 victory over Shaw (25-19, 12-25, 25-21, 25-19). The posted 10 ace serves and seven total blocks as a team. Soniya Garner led the attack with 18 kills, with Callesta Styles adding nine kills, four aces, and two blocks. Gabrielle Hale tallied 26 assists, 11 digs and four blocks while Kaileigh Solis recorded 13 digs. 
In the lone loss of the week, the Big Blue fell to Fayetteville State 3-0 (11-25, 11-25, 17-25). Styles paced the Big Blue with five kills while Hale collected 17 assists and seven digs. Maya Morales and Garner chipped in five kills, and Solis finished with nine digs. 
The Big Blue bounced back on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Livingstone (25-17. 25-23, 25-23). Dynasty Andrews and Styles led the offense with eight kills each with Morales adding seven kills and 13 digs. Hale posted a double-double with 28 assists and 11 digs while Solis anchored the defense with 16 digs.
