Salem, VA – Bluefield State University men's and women's cross country closed out its season at the CIAA Championships on Thursday at Green Hill Park.
Ean Nance led the Big Blue men, finishing the course in 31:25.5. He was followed by Cornelius Matthews (33.56.6), Sekou Coulibaly (34:05.3), Jeremiah Wingfield, and Timothy Roberts (35:58.3) to complete the team scoring. Trey Hayes also represented the Big Blue with a time of 39:28.6.
On the women's side, Genesis Lee paced the Big Blue with a time of 22:25.8, placing 22nd overall. Kellie Williams followed closely behind at 22:58.7, with Abrielle King (24:30.6), Khrisalyn Kegler (24:45.3) and Taleyah Palmer (26:36.1) rounding out the team's top five finishers. DeJanae Larmond (24:15.3) and Miasia Seymour (27:23.1) also turned in solid performances for the Big Blue.
The Big Blue placed 11th in the men's team standings and 8th in the women's standings.
Fayetteville State University captured both the men's and women's CIAA team titles.
