Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University women's basketball guard Jhakia Gist has been selected to showcase her talent at the 4th Annual HBCU All-Star Dream Classic. This event will take place on Saturday, August 8th, at Holcombe Rucker Park in Harlem, New York.
A key contributor for the Big Blue throughout the 2025-26 season, Gist earned 24 starts in 27 appearances. She finished as the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game while logging 622 total minutes. Gist knocked down a team-high 60 threes on 36.1% shooting.
The women's 5-on-5 game is scheduled to tip off at 4:30 p.m.
