Baltimore, MD – Bluefield State University women's basketball finished the 2024-25 season 10-18 (3-13 CIAA). Going into the CIAA Tournament as the 4th seed in the north, the Big Blue will play Johnson C. Smith (5S) Monday, February 25th at 10 a.m.
"We are incredibly proud to have finished 4th in the Northern Divion this season" said Head Coach Paul Davis. "While we didn't achieve the record we had hoped for, our team's growth, resilience and determination were every step of the way. This journey has only strengthened our commitment to getting better each day."
The Big Blue were led this season by Jasmine Jenkins with 391 points, 132 rebounds, and 85 steals. Jenkins shot 42% from the field and 58% from the line. Senior Jayla Sample currently has 300 points and 104 rebounds on the season.
"We are truly grateful for the opportunity to continue representing Bluefield State University and the CIAA – a conference rich in history and talent. The support from our administration, fans, and community has meant the world to us, and we will keep pushing forward with pride and purpose. The work doesn't stop here. This is just another step in the journey," said Paul Davis.
