Baltimore, MD – Bluefield State University women's basketball has been selected 12th in the 2025-26 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Preseason Poll, as announced Tuesday by the CIAA. Jasmine Jenkins was also named to the 2025-26 All-CIAA preseason team.
Jenkins returns as the top scorer for the Big Blue after an impressive 2024-25 campaign. Jenkins averaged 14.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 42% from the field. Jenkins totaled 427 points, 233 rebounds and 90 steals, recording eight double-doubles on the year and five games with 20 or more points.
The Big Blue finished the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 11-19 and 3-13 in conference play. Bluefield State will open the 2025-26 season at the CIAA/PSAC Challenge hosted by Clarion University, November 14th-15th.
