Bluefield, WV – Alexander Hambleton has been named 2025 CIAA Golfer of the Year, as announced by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) on Sunday.
The CIAA Golfer of the Year is determined by the combined scores from the CIAA Southern Tournament and the CIAA Northern Tournament.
In the Southern Tournament, Hambleton shot 73, 73, and 75 to finish tied for 12th. In the Northern Tournament, Hambleton won the individuals with a 76 on day one and a 68 on day two. Hambleton finished with a combined score of +8 to secure the CIAA Golfer of the Year title.
"I am very proud to have Alex named the CIAA Golfer of the Year; he has worked extremely hard and fully deserves this accomplishment," said head coach Sam Berry. "Hopefully, this is the start of more great things to come for Bluefield State Golf in the CIAA!"
