Richmond, VA- Bluefield State University men's basketball fell short at Virginia Union 57-50 on Wednesday. The Big Blue move to 12-14 (7-4 CIAA).
The matchup was a low-scoring from the start, with the Panthers holding the 24-22 lead at the half. The Big Blue remained competitive in the second half, but the Panthers outscored the Big Blue 33-28 in the second to secure victory.
Myles Pierre led all scorers with 20 points. Anthony Davenport recorded a double-double, finishing with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Ellija Preddy added nine points and three assists, while Warren Mouganda added seven points, six rebounds, and three assists. Anthony Latty collected eight rebounds and a block.
