Blacksburg, VA- The women's team was back in action today on the campus of Virginia Tech against a solid Chowan squad. The Ladies fought hard but came up short against the Hawks by a score of 8-1.
The doubles partners of Wendy Rudhu and Tafadzwa Mawisire continued their strong doubles play by winning their 8-6.
Mawisire and Briales both had strong singles performances today. Mawisire was able to push the limits in her's by winning 4 games in each set. Briales was also strong, forcing a 1st set tiebreaker. But overall Chowan was solid up and down their line-up and ended up winning 8-1.
The Big Blues will look to rebound in their home opener against Davis & Elkins on Friday, March 4th.
