Box Score BRISTOL-The Bluefield State women's basketball team dropped a tough one to King University in their third road game at Kline Gym Saturday afternoon, 68-79. The Big Blue drops to 0-5, while the Tornado improves to 1-1.
Saturday afternoon, Bluefield State had a tough first half, going into halftime down by 11. The Big Blue came out at the start of the second half and managed to capture for some of the third quarter.
Although the Big Blue didn't come out on top. Multiple players worked on offense to come up with double-digit points. Led by Freshman Katrina Davis with 13 points off the bench. Not too far behind was Ameera McClain and Londen Coleman with 12. Followed by Dani Janutolo with 11 points.
The Tornado leading scorer came up with 22 points this afternoon. However, the Big Blue were able to capture more points off the bench, 28-11. The women snagged more points in the paint versus the Tornado, 34-32.

The season will continue Wednesday, January 27 on the road to face Southern Wesleyan. The Big Blue will face the Warriors at Historic Tysinger Gymnasium at 5:30 p.m.
