CHARLOTTE, North Carolina -- The Big Blue women's tennis team defeated Johnson C. Smith Wednesday afternoon, 7-0.
The Big Blue swept the Golden Bulls in doubles. Shreya Chakrabarly and Juliana Jimenez got the win on court 1, (6-3).
Paula Saez Raez and Virginia Zanotti defeated Kyndall Ragins and Cierra Turner on court two, (6-1). Victoria Cabral and Ghita Courdi got the final doubles point on court three against Sanaa Hewitt and Shay'Tonya Missick, 6-3.
In singles play,Juliana Jimenez defeated Chengeto Moyana in the number three spot, (6-2, 7-5). Virginia Zanotti won in the number two spot (6-3, 6-2) against Kyndall Ragins.
Paula Saez Raez dominated in the number four spot against Sanaa Hewitt, (4-6, 6-0, 10-6)
Shreya Chakrabarly captured a win against Shay'Tonya Missick in the numnber one spot (6-2, 6-3).
