FAIRMONT, West Virginia -- The Big Blue women's tennis team defeated Fairmont State Saturday morning at Fairmont State University Tennis Courts, 5-1.
The Big Blue swept the Falcons in doubles. Victoria Cabral and Ghita Courdi swept Trang Nguyen and Ana Tacchi on court three, 6-0.
Shreya Chakrabarly and Juliana Jimenez defeated Ainara Pastor and Emme McKnight on court 1, 6-2.
Paula Saez Raez and Virginia Zanotti defeated Candela Sevilla and Mackenzie Sorton on court two, 6-4.
In singles play, Paula Saez Raez dropped in the number four spot, 1-6, 3-6). Juliana Jimenez defeated Emme McKnight in the number three spot, (4-6,6-4,10-4).
Shreya Chakrabarly captured the win against Ainara Pastor in the numnber one spot (6-1, 6-2).
Ghita Courdi swept Hannah Sprout in the number five spot, (6-0,6-0). Victoria Cabral secured the win for the Big Blue against Emily Harper, (6-2,6-1)
