Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State senior jumper Darius Brown has been named CIAA Field Athlete of the Week for Week One after opening the season with a provisional qualifying mark in the triple jump.

Competing against a field loaded with Division I athletes, Brown placed third in the event with a jump of 14.55m at the Big Blue season opener. His performance sets a strong tone for his final indoor campaign and adds another highlight to his accomplished career with the Big Blue.
