Bluefield, WV—For the first time in school history, the Bluefield State University men's basketball team received votes in the D2CSC Atlantic Regional Poll, which was released on Monday by the organization.
The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives (two per conference), and the regional poll has 16 voters—2 from each region.
The Big Blue went 2-1 last week, winning against Winston-Salem State (98-78) and Virginia Union (97-83) while losing to Concord (104-95).
West Liberty maintained its No. 1 ranking in the latest poll, earning five first-place votes. Fairmont State remained close behind at No. 2, with one first-place vote. West Chester, East Stroudsburg, and Gannon rounded out the top five.
