Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University proudly announces the appointment of Brodderick Tucker as the institution's new Director of Athletics. A seasoned leader in collegiate athletics with over a decade of experience, a proven record of strategic growth and student-athlete success, Tucker will assume responsibility for overseeing the University's athletic programs, fostering competitive excellence, and advancing the mission of Bluefield State University.

Tucker joins the Big Blue after a successful tenure at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he most recently served as the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services. While at UAPB, Tucker launched the NILions Program and facilitated the school's NIL partnership to create new opportunities for student-athletes.
Prior to UAPB, Tucker spent seven years at Grambling State University, where he began as a volunteer intern and advanced to Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Enhancement throughout the years, playing a critical role in boosting career opportunities and graduation rates.

A native of little Rock, Arkansas, Tucker brings valuable experience in fundraising and community-based scouting operations, having increased donor contributions by 45% during his time in the Louisiana Delta region.
Tucker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and later a Master of Science in Sports Administration, both from Grambling State University.
