The Bluefield State Volleyball team had a big win tonight against Ohio Valley University in Vienna, W.Va.

The Lady Blues defeated the Scots 3-1, grabbing the first set easily 25-15. In the second set, the Lady Blues had to work hard, but still had the 2-0 lead after winning 30-28. The Scots didn't quit and took the third set 26-24 to force a fourth set. BSC stormed back to win the last set 25-20.
The Lady Blues tallied 49 kills and 27 errors compared to the Scots 48 kills and 30 errors. The Lady Blues also had 8 serving aces compared to their counterparts 3.
Sophomore Brittney Deveaux had 10 kills and 1 error with a .360 percentage. Junior Tyann Thomas had the team high 12 kills, but had 7 errors. Sophomore Brittany Bonamy had 10 kills at 30 attempts.
Sophomore Alee Quint had a season high 43 set assists and also had 5 digs. Sophomore Jessie Rehwald had 28 digs in the match, a season high. Junior Thais Nogueira-Nunes had 12 digs. Senior Sashane Watson added in 8 digs and 7 kills.
The Lady Blues next match is at home against Salem College on Wednesday, Sept. 30th at 7 p.m.
