McClain Leads The Big Blue, With 29, To Victory On Senior Night, 113-32

BLUEFIELD - The Bluefield State women's basketball team Captured their last win at home against Warren Wilson Thursday evening at Ned E. Shott Gym, 113-32. The Big Blue end their season 7-10, while the Owls drop to 0-2.

Thursday evening, The Big Blue dominated the entire game. The Owls couldn't find a point for the first seven minutes of the game. The Big Blue went up, 33-0. Eventually, the Owls managed to score some points, but it still wasn't enough to be in close range of the Big Blue. The Big Blue went up into halftime up by 51 points, 67-16. In the second half, the Big Blue continued their momentum against the Owls, only giving up six points in the third quarter and 10 in the fourth quarter. The Big Blue came out on top when the clock hit 00:00, 113-32. 

The Big Blue had big productions on the offensive side of the ball, with multiple players in double figures. Led by Senior Ameera McClain, ending her college career with a season-best of 29 points. Following was Ashlie Louden with 15 points and six rebounds. One behind Louden was teammate Dani Janutolo 14 points and eight rebounds. Forward Derricka Bramwell had 12 of the 40 points in the paint tonight.  

Alexus Tucker may have only come up with three assists tonight but she now sits at ninth in Bluefield State School history for assist. 

The Big Blue made big productions off of the Owls turnovers, with 58 points off of their 37 turnovers. The Big Blue dominated in the paint again this afternoon with 40 points. The Big Blue managed to grab the advantage in points off the bench with 41. 

The Owls had a total of 37 rebounds, 19 of those were offensive rebounds. The Owls also shot 50 percent from the free-throw line.
