Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University athletics announces the hiring of Adam Davis as the new director of the Bluefield State University Band.
Davis, a native of Bluefield and a graduate of Graham High School and Bluefield State, brings a diverse musical background and a deep connection to the local community. A multi-instrumentalist with experience in percussion, guitar, bass and vocals, Davis has spent a lifelong journey studying music across genres and performance settings.
His musical accomplishments include multiple performances at Disney World, participation in the Virginia Tech halftime show, and collaborations with the Bluefield University music department. Davis has contributed to studio projects at SKS Productions and Final Track Studios, while also performing widely throughout the region.
Davis' multi-genre expertise spans jazz, gospel, Latin, Afro-Cuban, fusion, rock, and blues. In addition to performing, he holds extensive experience in marching band and concert band, equipping him with a broad skill set for instruction, arrangement, and ensemble development.
Outside of music, Davis is an avid runner who enjoys hiking, golf, and reading.
