Charlotte, NC – Bluefield State University women's softball has been picked 7th in the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) preseason poll.
The Big Blue finished the 2024 season 13-24 (8-8 CIAA) and were led by Paige Whittington, who had a .480 average on 59 hits, including eight doubles, three triples, and 15 RBIs. Maggie Mullin and Taylor Fells were in the circle the majority of the time for the Big Blue. Mullin threw 88 innings, finishing with a 7-9 record with 49 walks and 35 strikeouts. Fells threw 84.1 innings for the Big Blue, with 79 walks and 71 strikeouts on the year.
