Mini & Junior Ballers Camp Leaves Lasting Impact on Young Athletes

Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University women's basketball hosted the Mini and Junior Ballers Camp. With a total of 42 young participants, the gym was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and the sounds of basketballs bouncing alongside laughter and learning.

Throughout the camp, the children engaged in fundamental skill development, teamwork-building activities, and plenty of fun-filled moments. From dribbling drills to team relays – and even a surprise visit to the pool – our young hoopers experienced an unforgettable week!

"I want to sincerely thank each parent for entrusting our coaching staff and myself with your children. It was a joy to love on them, teach them the game of basketball, and instill the values of teamwork and sportsmanship" said head coach Paul Davis. "We truly enjoyed having every camper with us and look forward to seeing them again next year. And remember – bring a friend!"

Parent Testimony: "My son woke up Friday morning asking why he didn't have camp today. He said he was having so much fun and learning so much. He talked none stop about going to the pool, meeting the biggest dog in the word – Sir Blue – and all the new friends he made. Most importantly, I want to thank the coaches and the University for hosting this camp. We'd love to see it extended into a full-day program!"

The Bluefield State Mini & Junior Ballers Camp will continue to grow and inspire, laying the foundation for future success both on and off the court. Until next time – Go Big Blue!
